Jacketed Isothermal Freezers

Samples stored in our jacketed Isothermal freezers are completely isolated from contact with liquid nitrogen, which is contained in a space between the inner chamber and middle walls of the freezer. The Isothermal’s LN2 layer blankets the wall of the storage area to produce temperature uniformity not possible in ordinary liquid nitrogen freezers.

Contactless freezing greatly reduces the chance of sample cross-contamination, eliminates the risk of liquid nitrogen leaking into samples, increases staff safety, and provides more storage space when compared to traditional liquid nitrogen freezers.

Isothermal Freezers are offered in two configurations; the standard V Series, and the carousel models, designed for use with ceiling height restrictions.

V Series Isothermal Freezers

Features wide lid opening that makes it easy to see all of your racks at once and quickly retrieve the one you need. Quick rack retrieval time minimizes exposure time to ambient temperatures and helps to ensure a consistent storage temperature.

Carousel Isothermal Freezers

Designed for ceiling restrictions, the carousel Isothermal freezer features a rectangular lid opening, which gives you quick and easy access to the rack you need without having to move other racks out of the way. Quick access means less sample exposure to ambient temperatures and lower LN2 costs.

Our Isothermal liquid nitrogen freezers are built with our unique jacket technology designed to provide you with superior sample integrity. LN2 is stored in the jacketed space that surrounds the chamber, so the storage area is completely dry and has industry-leading temperature uniformity.

Advanced Sample Protection

Storage in liquid nitrogen can make vials shrink. Shrinkage can cause LN2 to seep into the vials, which on re-warming, can expand and subsequently explode as nitrogen vaporizes inside the vials. Dry storage eliminates this possibility.

Increased Safety

Our exclusive jacket design provides enhanced safety by eliminating contact with or splashing of liquid nitrogen.

More Storage Space

Our innovative jacket technology creates more storage space by eliminating the need for LN2 at the bottom of the storage chamber. Typical cryogenic freezers lose at least six inches of usable space to pooled LN2.

Reduced Contamination Risks

Studies show that viral, bacterial and fungal pathogens can survive after suspension in liquid nitrogen. By eliminating liquid in the storage area, our dry freezers greatly reduce the possibility of cross-contamination by infected samples.

Remotely Monitor Sample Performance

Our Isothermal LN2 freezers are available with optional SenseAnywhere technology, which combines wireless sensors and secure cloud storage, to easily monitor and track the Isothermal freezer performance from anywhere 24/7.
